Our commitment. Ori Learning wants every student and educator to be able to use the platform, whatever assistive technology they use. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and this page describes our progress.
Where we are today. In April 2026 our engineering and product team evaluated the Teacher Portal and the Student Portal against WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA and recorded the results in an Accessibility Conformance Report on the VPAT® template. The platform does not yet conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA: of the 50 criteria evaluated, 9 are rated Supports, 34 Partially Supports and 7 Does Not Support. The report is a self-evaluation, not an independent audit, and it lists the user impact and the planned fix for every criterion that is not yet fully met. The report is linked from this page.
What we are fixing and when. Our remediation runs in two milestones: a first set of fixes scheduled for the start of the 2026–2027 school year, whose status our current report states criterion by criterion, with any criterion not yet complete carried into the second milestone; and the remaining criteria by April 26, 2027, the first Title II compliance date, across the student, teacher, administrator and publisher portals. We re-evaluate the platform at least once a year and for each remaining milestone, and deliver an updated report to our school customers by each remaining milestone date. Gaps the April 2026 evaluation found include the lack of a “skip to main content” link, page titles and language declarations, screen-reader announcement of status messages, keyboard alternatives for drag-and-drop activities, contrast of some small text, reflow at narrow widths, and captions or audio description for some videos.
Built-in features. The platform includes on-demand translation of lesson text into other languages and read-aloud (text-to-speech) of lesson text, at no additional charge, with other accessibility features described in our help materials.
Printable and other materials. Any printable lesson materials, help materials or training videos we make available have not yet been evaluated against WCAG. We provide an accessible alternative format of any of these on request within 10 business days, and we will evaluate and remediate the web-delivered materials for the products a school licenses by April 26, 2027.
Tell us about a problem. If something on the platform blocks you or a student, or keeps you from using it as effectively as others can, or you need material in another format, write to [email protected]. We acknowledge every report within 5 business days, propose an interim accommodation within 10 business days, and put it in place once you accept it. In this statement, “business days” means Business Days as the Ori Learning Definitions define them. School and district customers will find these commitments stated in full in the Accessibility Exhibit to their agreement, which is linked from this page.
How this statement is maintained. This statement is updated whenever our conformance report is revised, a milestone date passes or the way to reach us changes. It describes our current status, is not a certification, and does not replace a school’s or district’s own obligations under accessibility law.
