Jon Izak is the Founder and CEO of Ori Learning, the education company that evolved from SpecialNeedsWare, AutisMate, and ONEder. His work began in 2011, inspired by his younger brother, Oriel, who is nonverbal due to autism, and a drive to build tools that better align with how diverse learners think and grow. Jon studied computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering, and has spent more than a decade developing research-informed curriculum and technology in close collaboration with educators, clinicians, families, and research partners. He has also served on the board of the McCarton Foundation, supporting evidence-based autism research and intervention. Through Ori Learning, Jon continues to focus on practical, scalable solutions that help schools build life readiness and emotional well-being skills—designed to be usable in real classrooms and meaningful beyond them.
